The Trip to Playa Grande

Playa Grande is a beach that is considered one of the top ten beaches in the world. These pictures are from the ride there (except for Peder sleeping, that was at Mark & Debbie's beach one day). The ride was rough, but worth it. It was absolutely beautiful.

Dominican Trip 1

We had a great trip to the Dominican Republic in the middle of March. Peder did a great job on the plane. We were in the back of the plane and he flirted with all the ladies on the way to the bathroom. Grandpa and Grandma Pederson flew with us and great uncle Mark and great aunt Debbie were there too.

We spent most of our days at the beach and went into Sosua and Caberette several times to pick up supplies, get ice cream, or eat dinner.

The Dominican Republic is a beautiful country. We loved the flowers and the country side was so green and lush. I'll be posting more pictures and you can see the fences there. They are actually sticks that are stuck into the ground and they grow into trees. I'll also post pictures of the scenery.

Mommy Loves me!

Hanging out

Leela loves me.

Bath Time!

Grandma Pederson gave me a bath in the water basin at her house. I splashed a lot and got the counter and Grandma ALL wet.

I love my giraffe!

Grandma Pederson calls it a horse, but I know it's really a giraffe.

Daddy's so proud!

Jake got so excited last month when Peder held his bottle all by himself. He sent me for the camera so I could get pictures of "how cute he is."

Hanging out with Jack

On a Friday night in January we babysat Jack so that John and Jill could go to John's office holiday party. It was fun for the couple of hours we did it, but it made us realize we wouldn't be able to do twins.

The Pederson Family Christmas

This post is a little delayed, I had to get the pictures from my parents, but here it is: our final Christmas post. Every year we spend December 23rd with the Pederson side of the family. This year we had the entire family, plus Mom and Dad's foster kids, Dacia and Brandon.

We got to Big Lake around 4:00p and spent some time with the family. Dad and Chanda made pastas from our homemade pasta bar. It was delicious and we definitely ate too much.

After supper, and when all the dishes were done, we opened gifts. Everyone received great gifts and we were all very spoiled. I think Peder, was the most spoiled though (I hear Grandpa Pederson went a little crazy).

When we were all done opening gifts we had cherry dream squares for dessert. We haven't had them and years and I made a special request that they be our dessert this year. I must say they were delicious....I think I had 2 or 3 HUGE pieces.

Every Christmas celebration this year was a great one!

Peder's Baptism

Peder was baptized on Sunday, January 15, 2006, at Community United Methodist Church in Monticello. He hammed it up for the crowd and just looked at Pastor Dan when he was baptized. After his baptism he danced to the choir singing and the hymns. Afterwards, he promptly fell asleep. Melissa's sister Chanda and Jake's brother Nathan served as godparents/
sponsors.

After church we headed out to Grandpa and Grandma Pederson's for a brunch of ham, cheesy potatoes, broccoli salad, buns and cake. It was a delicious meal and we had all kinds of friends and family over for the celebration. I think my mom and sister counted 37 people.....that's craziness. We are very lucky to be loved by so many people.
