I have lights on the outside of my house! WA-HOO! Jake put them up for me on Friday night and it was COLD! It will be a process, but next year I hope to get him to put lights up the peak of the front of the house.
This is me, with my permagrin, after Jake had put up the lights. I L-O-V-E them! And Jake!

I know exactly what you mean. I have always loved outdoor lights. I usually only put out a small string, on one tree or bush. But it's enough. I'm mezmerized by them.

One of my coworkers just told me two of her life goals have been met. One, they live within walking distance of a DQ and two, after a long time, they finally put x-mas lights up outside! She wanted blue, but the kids lobbied for multi, so she technically thinks she's accomplished 1.75 goals :)
